The project will process 25,000 tonnes of waste new energy batteries annually for recycling and comprehensive utilisation. With a total investment of approximately US$30 million, the project plans to construct facilities including a battery pack disassembly workshop, a pre-treatment and discharge workshop, a crushing and sorting workshop, a leaching workshop, a lithium extraction workshop, a finished product warehouse, a hydrometallurgical workshop, and an evaporation and crystallisation workshop.
Upon completion, the project will achieve the following annual production capacities: 2,400 tonnes of reused batteries, 19,000 tonnes of nickel sulphate, 6,500 tonnes of cobalt sulphate, 4,000 tonnes of manganese sulphate, 100 tonnes of ternary precursor materials, 5,200 tonnes of lithium carbonate, 6,400 tonnes of iron phosphate and 30,000 tonnes of sodium sulphate; with by-product production capacities of 23,000 tonnes per annum of sodium sulphate and 1,500 tonnes per annum of sodium chloride respectively.
